#Ipad gen 1 tv remoter how to
I never even needed to learn how to reboot a remote in last 10 years of owning ATV's.Operation for the Beovision Eclipse is described with the BeoRemote One below. This is not the way ATV's should work, and I have owned every ATV ever made, from the originals. On many discussions I see that people contact Apple and they eventually have their units replaced by the tech on the phone (after troubleshooting as I have done). One thing all my devices have in common is that they are likely early generation models that could have been shipped to the region of the states where we live (one was gotten from Amazon who delivered locally within hrs, others from Apple locally). As above, this is most likely a hardware issue, as it appears on multiple devices but at different times as though a physical part is losing function over time. I will wait a while longer to see if issue appears, but this can take 1-7 days to reappear, so troubleshooting is not fast.
#Ipad gen 1 tv remoter update
I have updated to 16.2, but Apple does not seem to provide any statements as to whether this is a software bug fixed by update (updating to 16.1.1 never fixed issue). EM issues would be apparent immediately all the time, and would not be apparent when I move to other TV's around the house that have no devices nearby at all (except ATV and TV).
#Ipad gen 1 tv remoter Bluetooth
It is not bluetooth bandwidth interference, because any electromagnetic issues would be apparent even after a reboot, and the units all work for 1-7 days after reboots. The previous ATV's returned started with symptoms as follows: unit1=1 week unit2=1 night (next morning) unit3=2 weeks unit4=2 weeks. Update: Same night I typed above, the 4th ATV 2022 4K stopped talking to remote with same symptoms (amazing coincidence, and I thought it was solved). The only fix is to return bad units and get a new one (from a newer lot of ATV shipments). All 3 units had to be returned to Apple Store. After describing all of this, I had employee get me an ATV (2022,4K) out of a box in the back that had just been shipped to the store (not existing units on floor). I suspect Apple had supply issues and perhaps a bluetooth receiver in the ATV has a defective part. Old remotes also fail to pair to 2022-ATV when the problem arises. I also used new 2022 remotes on older 4K and HD ATV's and they connected perfectly to older units (when failing to connect to 2022 ATV). Works one inch from ATV but not 5 feet away on couch. I did all troubleshooting Apple says: reset ATV, reset remote, repaired remote, moved ATVs to new locations and new TVs, multiple HDMI cables (incl new 8K cables), updated tvOS. I've had 3 ATV (2022,4K) that all lost remote connections.

I have a 1-star review on Amazon about this, in case anyone wants to search for more info on my troubleshooting.
